PACS-run businesses: petrol pump, LPG agency, Jan Aushadhi Kendra, PMKSK, CSC

Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) are allowed to run retail petrol/diesel outlets, LPG distributorships, Jan Aushadhi Kendras, PM Kisan Samriddhi Kendras and Common Services Centres.

Who can apply

  • A registered PACS. For fuel outlets and LPG agencies, PACS must submit documents on registration, land and financial status; they get priority in Combined Category 2 (petrol pumps) and Combined Category (LPG), which have 1% reservation.
  • PACS with wholesale consumer pumps had a one-time option to convert them into retail outlets.

How to apply

  1. Apply online against oil company advertisements (lpgvitarakchayan.in, petrolpumpdealerchayan.in), on janaushadhi.gov.in for a Kendra, or on register.csc.gov.in for a CSC.
  2. The state cooperative department and district cooperative officers review progress with OMCs.
